Education & Professional Certifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in related field from a four-year college or university with eight or more years related experience; or
•Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Candidate Profile:
•Recognized technical expert within and outside of Client.
•More than eight years experience in the architecture, design, development, and testing of high-volume, high-performance software systems.
•Systems experience must include real time systems, large-scale batch solutions and high volume on-line transaction processing systems.
•Expert knowledge of industry trends and hands-on experience with UNIX, C, C++, Java, Oracle, CORBA, COM/DCOM, J2EE, HTML, XML/XSL, MTS, MQueue Series. This knowledge must include an understanding of the dependencies and interrelationships of these technologies.
•Working knowledge and experience are required in three-tiered billing and customer care system architectures and design.
•Excellent technical, analysis, communications, mentoring, and teamwork skills a must.
•Must have proficiency with various software applications including Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
The Consultant Architecture is responsible for providing technical consulting on systems architecture and technology, as well as participating in business capture activities, and working with new clients to architect solutions that address their business pain points.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
•Architect solutions that solve clients business problems.
•Develop systems architecture and new technology position papers.
•Provide key role in review teams to ensure product architectures and architecture evolution plans are aligned with the Technical Architecture direction. Provide recommendations back to Senior Architects of gaps that may exist and provide recommended action plans to close them.
•Participate in external conferences and trade shows to provide the technical background to our product presentations.
•Develop guidelines on how to present the architecture and technologies of our product line to ensure consistency in client presentations.
•Develop and deliver training for development organizations on how to conduct performance benchmarks and analyze the results. |
